Though curling season is coming to an end around the province, planning for next year’s Provincial Firefighters’ Curling Tournament is well underway. The Grand Falls Fire Department and the Grand Falls Curling Club will be happy to welcome teams from around the province into our community weekend of the 17th, 18th and 19th of January in 2020.
Let me begin by thanking Metalfab for the first, but definitely not the last, time for all the work they’ve done so far. They have and will continue to be a great partner to the tournament as its primary sponsor.
Meetings have taken place and all the committees are in place. St Stephen and Oromocto have left some big shoes to fill over the past few years, and we’ll surely do our best to meet their standard and ensure everyone has a great weekend!
As previously announced, a block of rooms has been reserved at the local Best Western at the rate of $124.99 + tax per night. You can call directly at 506-473-6200 and reserve early, making sure to specify that you’re reserving as a part of the Grand Falls Firefighters group.
